My Background
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from Western Michigan University, I served as substitute teacher for the Romeo Community Schools for one year. The following year I was hired as a full time social studies teacher at Romeo High School so I have been with the district in one form or another since 1996!
During my teaching career, I have completed a Master of Arts in Instructional Technology from Wayne State as well as a certification in Brain-Based Teaching and Learning from Oakland University. Since being hired in Romeo, I have taught many of the different courses offered by the Social Studies department. Additionally, at various points in my career in Romeo I have taught Driver Education, served as an Athletic Facilities Manager, was chosen to be the Social Studies Department Chair, served as the sponsor of Ski Club, and worked on a variety of school and district committees.
For the 2019-20 school year, I am happy to be a part of the 9th Grade Academy here at Romeo High School. I will be teaching 9th grade US history and Honors 9th grade US history.
